Travel by Road
Into The Reserve
For those who prefer the journey by land, Hidden Valley is approximately:
2.5 hours from Belize City
1 hour from San Ignacio/Belmopan
3 hours from Placencia (via western route)
2 hours from Dangriga
1.5 hours from Western Border
We recommend arranging a private transfer through Hidden Valley whenever possible.
Our drivers know the reserve and the surrounding backroads well, allowing you to relax and enjoy the changing landscapes as the journey moves from open savanna into the quiet forests of Mountain Pine Ridge.
While self-driving is certainly possible, the final stretch can be remote and is best navigated by someone familiar with the terrain—especially during the green season.
Let us handle the road, so you can simply enjoy the journey into the valley.
